HHI Obtains Verification for 500MW Offshore Substation
HD Hyundai Heavy Industries has obtained international verification for 500MW Offshore Substation Topside Model.
On August 27, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) got a Verification Letter from DNV, showing that the design and technical documents of its 500MW Offshore Substation meet international standards.
HHI’s 500MW offshore substation has secured competitiveness in the equipment supply chain by localizing key components and has been recognized for its synergy with domestic equipment.
The model also features a standard design suitable for large-scale offshore wind projects and is capable of transmitting power from thirty-five 14MW wind turbines.
This milestone is expected to boost Korea’s offshore wind industry, aligning with the government’s Renewable Energy 3020 policy and plans for large-scale wind power clusters.
