HD Hyundai Heavy Industries is helping vulnerable members of the local community stay healthy during the summer by providing nutritional care packages.

HD Hyundai Heavy Industries announced that, together with HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering and the HD Hyundai 1% Foundation, it held a donation ceremony for nutritional care packages at the Ulsan Dong-gu Comprehensive Social Welfare Center on July 9.

Through the initiative, the company donated nutritional care packages worth KRW 40 million, consisting of samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup), galbitang (beef short rib soup), misugaru (mixed grain powder), and other items.

The ceremony was attended by Nam Hye-jin, Director of the Ulsan Dong-gu Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, as well as representatives from local social welfare organizations. Lee Chang-yong, a Senior Manager participating in the 1% salary-sharing program, also attended as an employee representative of HD Hyundai Heavy Industries.

The nutritional care packages will be delivered to approximately 430 vulnerable households in Dong-gu, Ulsan, ahead of the peak summer heat. The company expects the initiative to help local residents replenish nutrition and maintain their health during the hot summer season.

An HD Hyundai Heavy Industries official said, “We hope that this nutritional support will provide meaningful assistance to neighbors who are particularly vulnerable to extreme heat and help them stay healthy throughout the summer. We will continue to carry out a variety of sharing and community outreach activities together with the local community.”
