HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering (HDKSOE) announced on December 18 that it has been included in 2024 Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) World Index by S&P Global for the first time in the Korean shipbuilding industry.

DJSI is a global evaluation index that reflects the ESG (environmental, social and governance) management performance of a company. The most prestigious DJSI World Index comprises only 250 companies with the top 10% of the evaluation scores among the top 2,500 companies by market capitalization worldwide. In Korea, about 20 companies were included.

HDKSOE was included in the DJSI World Index for the first time this year. The company received excellent evaluations in the areas of ▲Establishment of climate change response strategy ▲Advanced human rights management system ▲Strengthening supply chain ESG management ▲Advanced HSE policy ▲Strengthening ESG risk management.

An official from HDKSOE said, “Earning a spot in the DJSI World Index is the result of our efforts for sustainable management. We will continue to make efforts to spread the ESG management culture throughout the shipbuilding industry.”
